I AM A WIFE, MOTHER, WANNABE WRITER, PHOTOGRAPHER AND MOST IMPORTANTLY A LOVER OF CHRIST. THIS IS WHERE YOU WILL FIND MY JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE.

This may just be a laundry closet to some, but for me it’s much more. It was a labor of love from the Mr and a dear friend. It was years of waiting for this vision to come to life. It is a space that makes our home function even better for us. This space is a gift. More details on Two Ellie.

Sharing Ellie’s teen room on Two Ellie today. She designed it from start to finish and I could not be any more proud. I only helped with execution and the idea behind the full wall headboard. So happy I made the decision to get out of her way and allow her to represent herself in this space without my micromanaging. The girl did good 👩🏻‍🏫

I know this laundry area is quite simple and somewhat silly, but seriously it will help us function in this house all the better. Having it prettier than my kitchen is just a perk for now. I love making old homes work for today by having to think outside the box especially when big changes aren’t in the budget. I am thrilled with this little space and makes doing laundry all the sweeter 🖤

Today was just weird. Going to embrace doing nothing for the rest. .

I have shared this photo before I am sure, but it is by far one of my FAVORITES ever. It was taken for Birmingham Magazine when they featured local mommy bloggers years ago. It made the cover and the kiddos thought they were for sure famous. My favorite part though was that both the photographer, Jason Wallis, and the stylist @celine.russell let the kiddos be their crazy loving selves. Although little Kellen did ask many times that he would not get in trouble by having his nerf blaster by the computer. .

Celebrating 38 years on this side of the womb today. Did you all know I was born in Venezuela? My dr came in from a party a little tipsy and delivered me via c-section. My mama refused to be put under because of said tipsiness of the dr. Still not sure what she was planning on helping with. I was mere 4 pounds something and could fit in the palm of my papa’s hand. They took me straight home and all the neighborhood women bought me hair bows, because my papa didn’t participate in the tradition of having my ears pierced before leaving the hospital. How else were you suppose to know I was girl 🎀

Just picked up our second round of #fosterkittens and we are smitten 🖤

Simply can’t believe it’s already mid August. How can that be?
