Almost 10 years ago I started blogging and during that time my main goal was how to create a home on a budget. Spent most my adolescence in a suburb of Boston and last night was the first time I got to experience a Red Sox game and it could not have been any more special. Thankful for this man making all my childhood dreams come true. .

Had such a great day exploring Boston with the Mr that I forgot to take pictures. We walked for miles, met many a Lyft drivers, ate in little Italy, and road a boat. Now we are picking up pizza (GF for me) and going to enjoy a movie and this view from our @airbnb loft. The only down side it the kiddos have yet to text me back once. Must mean they are having a blast back home so it’s not all bad. .

With the Hillsong Conference coming up I am becoming overly nostalgic of the time I had the honor of going. It truly changed me. I was quickly sinking in the mentality of needing to keep up yet never being enough. During that conference I heard a whisper from the Lord that I am who I was created to be. That simple truth sank in and although I sometimes forget I can still go back to that moment and remember I am enough. We all are. Have a moment in time that changed your mind set and set you free? This home will forever be one of my favorites. The gifted @katrinaporterdesigns completely breathed new life into the soul of this home, the homeowner became a friend, and I had the honor of having a small part in its completion. Putting myself in here for a time out. I lost my cool with the kiddos. It’s rare that I do so when I do it all crumbles. Sometimes being a parent is hard. Sometimes cleaning the same wrappers off the floor time and time again can be hard. Sometimes asking a simple question and getting what we deem “the look” back for the 100th time can be hard. Sometimes the small things lead to feeling not of value in the home and that is what is really hard. All those feelings though I know are not true, they are my own fears that dwell within and sometimes are believed. They became compounded and boiled over. Today I needed grace and the kiddos extended it. Now the hard part is extending that same grace to myself so I will sit in here till I can breath deep again.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9

I tend to shoot homes a bit differently. It's just me and my camera and I get lost in my viewfinder as the homes story unfolds. It's less about perfection and more about telling the narrative of a home. I know this does not work for everyone, but it's what makes my soul sing. Grateful to those who allow me to do what I love. .

I have had the honor of capturing quite a few homes over the years and I have come to realize many of my favorites are the ones that look well lived in and appear to be ready to host a simple meal for many.
