I know this laundry area is quite simple and somewhat silly, but seriously it will help us function in this house all the better. Having it prettier than my kitchen is just a perk for now. I love making old homes work for today by having to think outside the box especially when big changes aren’t in the budget. I am thrilled with this little space and makes doing laundry all the sweeter 🖤

I have shared this photo before I am sure, but it is by far one of my FAVORITES ever. It was taken for Birmingham Magazine when they featured local mommy bloggers years ago. It made the cover and the kiddos thought they were for sure famous. My favorite part though was that both the photographer, Jason Wallis, and the stylist @celine.russell let the kiddos be their crazy loving selves. Celebrating 38 years on this side of the womb today. Did you all know I was born in Venezuela? My dr came in from a party a little tipsy and delivered me via c-section. My mama refused to be put under because of said tipsiness of the dr. Still not sure what she was planning on helping with. I was mere 4 pounds something and could fit in the palm of my papa’s hand. They took me straight home and all the neighborhood women bought me hair bows, because my papa didn’t participate in the tradition of having my ears pierced before leaving the hospital. How else were you suppose to know I was girl 🎀
